The Clark's Fork of the Yellowstone

This exciting stretch of river has never been floated commercially. We depart from the foot of the Beartooth Mountains and the majestic splendor is unbelievable, an experience you will never forget! This is a 12 mile trip of awesome visual beauty and excitement. You will see the mountains as few others will have the opportunity to see them.

This particular area is rich in history and we call the float our Chief Joseph Trip. This is the canyon that Chief Joseph and his Nez Perce tribe traveled through, trying to escape the American soldiers who were relentlessly pursuing them. Your boatmen will provide you with more details on the rich history of this area, one unequaled in the west.
