FLOW CELLS

Flow Cells are designed for monitoring and evaluation of biofilm processes using microscopy and image analysis. BioSurface Technologies line of flow cells are all completely autoclavable and reuseable. All flow cells are compatible with confocal and fluorescent microscopy.

The FC 71 Flow Cell is a flat plate flow cell designed to accommodate coupons of various materials to study biofilm formation and response to these materials. The FC 71 Flow Cell is available with several different coupon recess configurations:

FC 71-2x0.5 2 coupon recesses per channel to accommodate two 0.5 inch diameter disc coupons (same coupons as used in the CDC and RDR Biofilm Reactors).

FC 71-3x10 3 coupon recesses per channel to accommodate three 10 mm diameter discs.

FC 71-1x6x25 1 coupon recess per channel to accommodate one 6 mm x 25 mm rectangular coupon

Each Flow Cell comes with 1 set of polycarbonate coupons, 1 spare silicone gasket, spare screws, spare coverslip viewing windows (1 oz. no. 2 24 x 60 mm) and operations manual.

The FC 71 Flow Cell is available in standard polycarbonate flow channel, or more rugged anodized aluminum.

The FC 81 Flow Cell is a flat plate flow cell designed for use with transmitted, fluorescent, or confocal microscopy. The FC 81 Flow Cell uses a standard 25 x 75 x 1 mm thick glass microscope slide as one viewing window and a no. 2, 24 x 60 mm coverslip as the opposing viewing window. Separation between the 2 glass surfaces (the flow channel) is approximately 2 mm.

Each Flow Cell comes with 2 spare silicone gaskets, spare screws, spare coverslip viewing windows (1 oz. no. 2, 24 x 60 mm), spare glass slide viewing window, and operations manual.

The FC 81 Flow Cell is available in standard polycarbonate flow channel, or more rugged anodized aluminum.

The FC 91 Flow Cell is a multi-channel capillary flow cell. The FC 91 Flow Cell holds 4 parallel, square capillary channels each of 1 mm ID. High shear is achievable with this thin-wall capillary flow cell (wall thickness = 0.15 mm).
Each Flow Cell comes with 4 square glass capillaries of 1 mm ID, 4-place capillary holder with standard stage mount, and operations manual.

The FC 93 Flow Cell is a multi-channel capillary flow cell. The FC 93 Flow Cell holds 4 parallel capillary channels each of 3 mm ID, with a wall thickness of 0.5 mm. Turbulent flow and high shear is achievable with this capillary flow cell.

Each Flow Cell comes with 4 square glass capillaries of 3 mm ID, 4-place capillary holder with standard stage mount, and operations manual.

The FC 270 Flow Cell is a multi-channel flat plate flow cell that accommodates various materials to study biofilm formation and response to these materials. Parallel channels allow direct side-by-side comparisons. The FC 270 Flow Cell is available with several different coupon recess configurations:

FC 270-2x0.5 2 coupon recesses per channel to accommodate two 0.5 inch diameter disc coupons (same coupons as used in the CDC and RDR Biofilm Reactors).

FC 270-3x10 3 coupon recesses per channel to accommodate three 10 mm diameter discs.

FC 270-1x6x25 1 coupon recess per channel to accommodate one 6 mm x 25 mm rectangular coupon

Each Flow Cell comes with 1 set of polycarbonate coupons, 1 spare silicone gasket, spare screws, spare coverslip viewing windows (1 oz. no. 2 24 x 60 mm) and operations manual.

The FC 270 Flow Cell is available in standard polycarbonate flow channel, or more rugged anodized aluminum.

The FC 271 Flow Cell is a multi-channel flat plate flow cell that accommodates various materials to study biofilm formation and response to these materials. Parallel channels allow direct side-by-side comparisons. A 3-way valve on the inlet of this flow cell provides an inoculation or chemical addition port right at the inlet of the flow cell. The FC 271 Flow Cell is available with several different coupon recess configurations:

FC 271-2x0.5 2 coupon recesses per channel to accommodate two 0.5 inch diameter disc coupons (same coupons as used in the CDC and RDR Biofilm Reactors).

FC 271-3x10 3 coupon recesses per channel to accommodate three 10 mm diameter discs.

FC 271-1x6x2 1 coupon recess per channel to accommodate one 6 mm x 25 mm rectangular coupon

Each Flow Cell comes with 1 set of polycarbonate coupons, 1 spare silicone gasket, spare screws, spare coverslip viewing windows (1 oz. no. 2 24 x 60 mm) and operations manual.

The FC 271 Flow Cell is available in standard polycarbonate flow channel, or more rugged anodized aluminum.

The FC 280 Flow Cell is a dual channel, flat plate flow cell designed for use with transmitted, fluorescent, or confocal microscopy. Parallel channels allow direct side-by-side comparisons.
The FC 280 Flow Cell uses a standard 25 x 75 x 1 mm thick glass microscope slide as one viewing window and a no. 2, 24 x 60 mm coverslip as the opposing viewing window. Separation between the 2 glass surfaces (the flow channel) is approximately 2 mm.

Each FC 280 Flow Cell comes with 2 spare silicone gaskets, spare screws, spare coverslip viewing windows (1 oz. no. 2, 24 x 60 mm), 2 spare glass slide viewing windows, and operations manual.

The FC 280 Flow Cell is available in standard polycarbonate flow channel, or more rugged anodized aluminum.

The FC 281 Flow Cell is a dual channel, flat plate flow cell designed for use with transmitted, fluorescent, or confocal microscopy. A 3-way valve on the inlet of this flow cell provides an inoculation or chemical addition port right at the inlet of the flow cell. Parallel channels allow direct side-by-side comparisons. The FC 281 Flow Cell uses a standard 25 x 75 x 1 mm thick glass microscope slide as one viewing window and a no. 2, 24 x 60 mm coverslip as the opposing viewing window.
