Log Home Consultant Services
Montana School of Log BuildingTM has on-site consultant services available for any phase of your log home project.  Builder/owners can hire the Montana School of Log Building crew to stack the logs, install windows and doors, rafter and roof the structure.
Consultant services can save you time and money.  Simple mistakes can ruin aesthetics, undermine engineering, and violate code.  On site project management skills can improve site preparation, sub-contractor performance, and the over-all quality of the log home.  Al and Nick Anderson evaluate log home projects in all aspects: architect plans, log work quality, project budgets, and contracts.  Al Anderson, also, helps entrepreneurs with business plans, log yard operation and safety, crew training, and marketing.  Al helps owner/builders in various stages of projects for short term assistance, often owner/builder combine a shell purchase with some consultant service.   Contact Us
How can we help???

Setting up the foundation is critical.  Here an 8 inch poured wall will support the logs.  Notice rebar in the footing tied to wall.  Footing for beam supports are shown in middle.

Special features like a prow design for the livingroom and multiple jogs for bedrooms, entry, and kitchen.

Nick trims the gables.  The Ridge pole and purlins will support TGI rafters.  Nick checks the alignment of flats with a long 2X6.  Notice the bracing 2X8's from the gables to the floor.

Al is setting a purlin in position on 32 X 36 shell.
