When What (Class title or special event)

We are doing something new with our classes this winter.

We don't plan to have lot of formal classes, but instead just gatherings with a "learn how" portion and food to coordinate with the project. Invite a friend to join you and think of it as going out for lunch with a fun activity thrown in. On top of those great options you'll have a chance to make new friends or reconnect with old ones.

We would love it if you would give us ideas of classes you would like. We can prepare special events for you and your friends. If you are hosting a family reunion ask us to come up with a special demonstration or class. Let us entertain a birthday gal and her family or friends. Let us plan something wonderful for you. We'll prepare some tasty food. What could be more fun!!

Every Monday
7:00  p.m.

Needle Punch and Rug Punch

Most of you know just how great Dorothy Kern is with hand projects. She'll teach you to needle punch or rug punch (it looks like rug hooking!). You choose which one you'd like to learn and choose any design from our selection of patterns.

Jane will be teaching "Glorious Trip" from her newest book, Quilting in the Country, in Denver at Great American Quilt Factory. The class is Friday, March 7 from 10-4. If you are living or visiting the Denver area Jane would really love it if you could join her.

Saturday,

Please Come!

Our new friend Jennifer Redlin has created an incredible wool needlework project (shown directly above). Jennifer and her husband are farmers in North Dakota but winter in Bozeman! Yes, really! This project has a fresh new look which includes appliqué and beading. We sincerely feel it is bound to become a family heirloom.

Jennifer hasn't had an opportunity to make many friends yet, so I hope we can help her feel welcome by attending her class. Jane will be preparing a special lunch for you.

If you would like a kit call us and let us have fun putting one together for you.

Also in March- Jane will be teaching at TRENDS, the trade show/market presented by E.E.Schenck in Portland, OR. If you own or work in a shop and might be going to this market Jane would love it if you could attend her class. It is Friday, March 14, 9-12. The title is "Good Enough to Eat" (Fabric Printing) and uses a new line of Maywood fabric. It's fun, fun, fun!

Jane will be demonstrating an array of techniques and autographing her books at A Common Thread, 15320 SW Sequoia Parkway, Suite 100, Portland, OR 97224.  Please join Jane if you are in the Portland area.

CoCo's Spa Pants

These whimsical, comfortable pants were designed by Amy Butler.  If you have been wondering what to do with some of these wonderful, crazy fabrics that have become so popular, these pants are perfect.  Of course, nothing is wrong with your other favorite fabrics, either.  Come join CoCo for the class and get pampered by Jane.

Tuesday, May 20
9am-12noon
$35 includes brunch, which won't be leftovers, even though this is all about recycling.

Locker Hook Rug Class

Come join Juli Rognlie as she shows you how to make these simple rugs. What a great way to use up lots and lots of fabric strips! It is amazing how much fabric one of these can consume, which is why they are so wonderful under your feet. They are totally washable, too.

May 31 and June 1.
8:30 am-4:00 pm both days.

Sign up today.
Space is limited!
Wonderful spring time lunches are included in the price of $99!

A Memory of Mother Class

Come celebrate this two days by taking a photograph of a childhood memory and turning it into fabric. You will learn how to take that photograph, or a child's drawing hanging on your refrigerator that was created especially for you by your child or grandchild, and make it into a quilt. Turn those memories into a one-of-a-kind piece of fabric art into a wall hanging.

Sue Olsen of Dog Gone Quilts has developed a new quilting technique called......"lines into designs" that teaches you how to draw by hand a beautiful imperfect line drawing. The class will show you how to take that imperfect line drawing , turn it into a pattern and then into a heirloom that you can cherish forever. This technique is created for all sewing skills, however, some knowledge of free-motion sewing is helpful.

Check out your scrap books, photo albums or the front of your refrigerator and pick that one memory that has always brought so much joy. Come create it into a quilt image that will bring a smile to your face whenever you walk by it.

You'll be so glad that you learned this wonderful technique!

Jane would love to visit you and see new parts of the country and make new quilting friends!! Just ask!!
