Thomas DeBaggio is the author of gardening books, and he has Alzheimer's disease. This is his story of his descent into one of our worst nightmares. The virus is destroying his brain. You won't witness any drastic change from lucidity to seeming idiocy, here. What you will witness is fear, frustration, sadness, and the subtle (but obviously real) loss of pieces of his mind. His IQ is measurably dropping. Memories are disappearing. He is unsure if he remembers or not. His mind is changing. His personality is changing. His body is becoming more difficult to control.
