If a man has built one of the worlds greatest lighthouses, then his name was probably Stevenson. This book is the amazing story or a dynasty of Scottish engineers, Robert, Alan, David, and Thomas Stevenson who did the impossible, built lighthouses miles from land, on rocks some of which were completely submerged most of the time. The first of these was built in 1811, and they all stand today, and guide shipping with their lights. This is quite a story.
