The Castle - by Franz Kafka

Book Review, © Copyright 2000, Jim Loy

This book is Kafkaesque. My dictionary says "marked by a senseless, disorienting, often menacing complexity." That's a good definition. The main character, named K, tries to get into the ominous and mysterious castle, for no apparent reason besides curiosity. And he is frustrated in many entertaining ways.
