He m. 23 Dec 1928 Lettie Caroline Hollingsworth, the dau. of Levi and Zelphia Merser Hollingsworth, G. L. Noresworth, Cir.;Clk., officiating. (Wayne Co., Mississppi, M. Book. 6 p. 70.) They made their home in Wayne Co. and were Methodists Lettie d. 29 Nov 1945 and Cecil d. 3 Feb 1980, following a stroke, in Columbus, GA, where he was living with his dau. At that time he had 19 grandchildren and 1 g'g'child. In 1979 his dau. questioned him about his g'g'father's name which he said at several different times, was William.
Both are bur. at Big Creek in Wayne Co. Their five children were: Roy Wilson Eidson, Walter Lee Eidson, Luther Ray Eidson, Annie Mae Eidson, and Grady Lee Eidson.
