The Guinnet Daily News for August 13, 1975 in Doraville, Georga mentions a annual Eidson family gathering in Norcross, Georgia. The first reunion was held in August 1917. These reunions are held at the Edison family cemetery which is part of a 250 acre tract of land originally granted to Boyce Eidson by the government following his service in the Revolutionary War.

28 Sep 1784 Boyce Eidson and William Quarles came into court and entered into bond as counter security for Sarah Browns administration of the estate of Liner Brown, deceased; on the motion of Francis Hopkins and John Galloway.
1787 Boyce Eidson was surety for the marriage bond of William Arthur and Joanna Arthur, consent of Thomas, father of Joanna.
1788 Boyce allowed 5 days attendance in the case of Poindexter and Gatewood.
25 Aug 1788 On the motion of his attorney Boyce was granted a injunction.

1791 "Land Roll for Tax Records for the Northern District of Bedford County" shows that Boyce owned 200 acres "on the north fork of Goose Creek, on the mountain joining above" valued at $400 and taxed for $1.92. This land adjoined that of John Otey and Henry Buford. The same record appears for the years; 1798, 1799, 1800, 1801,
1803, 1805, 1806, 1807, 1809 thu 1812, 1814 thru 1816,
1818, and 1819.27 Jun 1791 Boyce received deed for 200 acres on both sides of Goose Creek, area devised by Gross Scruggs, from William Arthur of Franklin county.

31 Aug 1792 Boyce Eidson entered a motion to quash a writ of elegit issued from the Office of Bedford in consequence of a judgment obtained by James Callaway and William
Leftwich, administrators of Gross Scruggs, deceased, the said Eidson being tenant in possession of the lands extended by the Elegit aforesaid. It is considered by the court that the judgment was obtained by James Calloway and Co. against the administrators of Gross Scruggs, deceased, and not against Gross Scruggs himself, nor in such manner as to subject the lands which the said Scruggs in his lifetime possessed.
Wherefore for this irregularity and because the writ of elegit aforesaid ought not to have been issued as aforesaid. It is the opinion of the court that the same be quashed.26 Jan 1794 Boyce Eidson of Bedford county gave deed of trust to Thomas Campell Trustee, of same county, conveying 200 acres on both sides of north fork of Goose Creek, to secure the payment of 54 pounds and 5 shilling's of the current money of Virginia.

Recorded 25 March 1816In the name of God, Amen, I, Boyce Eidson of sound mind and perfect memory, tho weak in body and in a lowstate of health do by these present make this my last will and testament revoking all others heretofore, (if any).
First I give to my wife Frances all my estate both real and personal to hold or enjoy during her natural life or widowhood.
Secondly, I give to my daughter, Mildred, my sorrel horse called my saddle horse, together with a good saddle and bridle.
It is my further wish that should my wife Frances, intermarry, that in case should hold one-third of my estate both real and personal to her proper use during her natural life then return to my children. It is also my wish that should my wife Frances, not intermarry during her natural life that all my estate after payment of all my just debts, both real and personal, should be equally divided amongst my children as follows: Henry, William, John, Elizabeth, Nancy, Hannah, Gross, Barnabus, James, Milly, Sally, Frances, and Polly to them, another and theirs forever.
I do by those present constitute and appoint my wife Frances, my executrix and my son Barnabas, Pharize Patterson, my true and lawful executor's, as witness my hand and seal, this 18th. day of February eighteen hundred and sixteen.

Shelton served in the 1779 Revolutionary Army under Cornal Abraham Bufords Regiment, Virginia line. He was granted a pension in 1854 at which time he lived in Morgan county, Georgia. His annual allowance was for $60.00, and he started to receive this pension on April 10, 1834 (age 81).

To the honorable court of Wilkes Co. we whose names are hereto signed are the legal heirs of John Eidson, Dec'd. that have arrived at lawful age.
