Brandon's article in ESPN the Magazine brought tears to my eyes, and even now as I type, I weep as a friend and fellow baseball player. Just a year and a half ago, the Parsons, KS Post 56 Legion team attended the funeral and wore the number of our friend and teammate Matthew Moore, after an automobile accident. I love what you've done for Brandon. It takes some courage, and especially faith...faith in what you're fighting for. I am merely two months younger than Brandon, and will be attending Newman University in Wichita, KS this fall to play college baseball. I will do my best to play with the fervor, dedication, and love for the game that Brandon once had. I just wanted to let you know that I believe in what you're doing, and I will hope and pray that your efforts bring some kind of action or change to pass. In the end, I believe the game was meant to be played with wooden bats anyway.
God's Blessings to Brandon, his family, and all who've helped honor his life and memory...I love you all.
Thomas
