Please forgive my typing skills, I am not very "computer friendly". My husband and I are monthly subscribers of the ESPN magazine, I honestly never read it.
But after dinner this evening, my husband, Chris, sat down to read your son's article.
Then he quietly said to me "Shelly, you gotta read this article", so I did. Chris sat next to me (sleeping) as most man do 2 seconds after they sit down.(That was a joke) Well, I started to read Brandon's story, only to start to cry, unbeleavable!!!!!!!!! My son is now 11 years old, Christopher, and our daughter is 6, her name is Summer. Two years ago, my son was playing Select baseball, on a traveling team 10U we live in Waldorf, Md., and he was up to bat and got hit in the face by a 60 mph pitch, leveled him to the ground. Hospital visits, specialist's, doctors, 2 years later, he's all better. But in a nut shell your story is haunting me, my son is so young, and the sport is scary. These days everything in life seems some what scary.
Well Debbie if this message gets to you, I just wanted to send you a note of encouragement, keep your head up, keep fighting for your son, I'm sure he's smiling down on you. My thoughts and prayers will forever be with you and your family.
Sincerely,
Shelly
