First off I would just like to start off by saying I am sorry to here about your loss. I play Junior Legion baseball in Eastern North Carolina and we play most of our games with aluminum bats. This season we decided to go to 3 wood bat tournaments and play some of our games with wood bats. I bought a well built wood bat hoping that it would help me hit the ball farther than a cheap one, already aware of the fact that a wood bat has much less pop than an aluminum bat. There were countless times in these tournaments where kids on the team would say that would have been a hit with an aluminum bat and little comments like that. You could just see that the ball doesn't carry as well off of the wooden bats. So I think you have a legitimite arguement here. I wouldn't mind playing with wood bats, not only because of the danger, but it also makes you a better hitter and evens out the competition. I wish all of you the best of luck and hopefully you can do something to change the world of baseball.
