I just got done reading the article about your son, and I am truly sorry for your loss. I don't know Brandon but he sounds like a wonderful young man. I played college baseball in the late 80's and never really thought about safety issues when playing. You hear stories from time to time about someone who got hurt or someone "took a line drive". I don't know that I ever really thought about the danger until I read Brandon's story. It is a shame that a tragedy like this has to put things into perspective for you.
