Hello.

My name is Drew, I am from West Virginia and would like to express my deepest sympathy for your loss. I also have had a tragedy of the such occur, just not to the greatest extent. When I was 13 years old I was taking batting practice and a friend of mine was throwing to me. I was just hitting as normal, but got ahold of one incredibly well, perfect "ding", everything. Then I also heard a "thud" I had hit my friends temple, on his left side. Although it didn't seem to severe at the time, it was. He said he was fine and helped clean the field up after we were finished. That night he went home and with a pounding headache, he told his dad he was going to take a nap to see if he could sleep the headache off. Five minutes later he was up and telling his dad to take him to the hospital. Turns out he had a spider we fractures on his skull and a blood clot at the point of contact. He had to have emergency surgery, he ended up having a titanium plate put onto his skull. So when reading the article in ESPN, it brought back the tragedy that occurred in my life. So most of all I wanted o say I support your fight against metal bats, I agree having them outlawed would be the best thing.

Thank you very much,

Drew W
