I just finished reading the story of your son and brother, Brandon in ESPN magazine.  I would like to extend my condolences to you. Brandon sounded like he was a great young man. I am also a huge baseball fan and former player at many levels. An incident like this was inevitable given the "action" off of these new style bats. I am deeply sorry that your family had to feel the brunt of the technological advancements w/o regard to safety issues to the young men who stand 60 feet nad 6 inches away from that bat. (actually much closer after a follow through).
