Tim

" There were countless times in these tournaments where kids on the team would say that would have been a hit with an aluminum bat and little comments like that.
I wouldn't mind playing with wood bats, not only because of the danger, but it also makes you a better hitter and evens out the competition. "

R.M.

Kyle
Tewksbury, Massachusetts
August 21st, 2004.

" As a former Little League coach I did not like the use of aluminum bats. I am a traditionalist of the game and it was meant to be played with wood bats. Metal bats don't level the playing field, the endanger the playing field.. "

Robert
August 20th, 2004.

"After about 4 batters, Jonathan was struck directly in the face by a batted ball. He has played for me for the last 3 years and has always had very good reflex's on the mound. This is a 16 year old young man who had played hurt many times and is as tough as iron. That night he did not have enough quickness. As he was airlifted to Atlanta Medical Center I was praying that he would not have any serious life long problems after the accident ..."

"The problem I stuggle with is ...Does it take 1 more or 15 more young men like your son to die on a baseball field to get laws passed to protect our kids and our national pastime."

Paul

" I saw how fast an 87 mph pitch came off an aluminum bat. The argument that a pitcher doesn't have enough reaction time to something like that is an understatement. Enough reaction time? There is no reaction time. A muscle can twitch, but and arm cannot defend that quickly."

Ryan
