Bozeman is easily accessed through Gallatin Airport, only 15 minutes from Bozeman, and is served by several major airlines. Bozeman is located 90 minutes from Yellowstone Park. Downtown Bozeman is known for its art galleries, and shopping. We can recommend restaurants to suit every taste. There are even some microbreweries to sample. Many unique bed and breakfasts and hotels are available and we can recommend the best. A day of sightseeing, between several days of fishing, can be a wonderful way to see some of the Big Sky.

• Spring: The spring in Big Sky country can offer some great fishing. While primarily nymph and streamer fishing for large rainbows and browns on the lower Madison and Yellowstone rivers, early May sees the Mother's Day Caddis Hatch on both of these rivers. This hatch can offer some of the years best dry fly fishing with caddis flies.
  
  
• Late May, June: This period is when many of the local rivers are experiencing runoff times. However, the Bighole River experiences the Salmonfly hatch while many of the other rivers are too cloudy to fish. Fishing large dry flies up to size 4 for some eager trout can be very exciting! From the middle to late June, the Madison experiences its world famous Salmonfly hatch.
  
  
• Late June- August: Mid to late summer offers the most variety of fishing and the most places to fish. Dry fishing abounds, and "hopper" season begins in late July and goes through August. Many opportunities exist for seeing some large browns audibly slurp a grasshopper imitation. This is also the time to see Montana in its summer colors!
  
  
• Late September-November: The fall season offers some dry fly baetis fishing and some fantastic streamer fishing for fall spawning browns. The thrill of having an angry brown trout smash your streamer can't be beat. This is the time of year to see the splendid red and yellow fall colors alongside the rivers and the whitetail deer in rut.
