Description

Verdict: Good rose - JFK took a long time to get established for us (4 years). Our patience has been rewarded. He would probably have gotten established quicker if I had protected him the first 3 winters.

Growth habit :  5 ft tall x 3 ft wide - healthy, thick foliage - slow starter, John gets going with warm weather.

Hardiness:  Very good - only white hybrid tea to survive my no protection years.

Silly Stuff

Don't mention JFK at the Gardenweb Rose forum unless it is to stomp on him. I was called a liar there when describing how well our JFK does... until I posted photos to prove it. There are some that can't grow JFK and insist no one can. They just lose it when photos prove them wrong. Worse than the ones that have grown JFK, failed and insist there has never been a good bush grown?? Their disciples that have never grown one but want to kiss up to their guru... can you tell I like to push their buttons and get them fired up? Sterling Silver is another rose in this category.
