Life Insurance
A life insurance policy is provided for each member officer and family member as part of the dues paid for M.P.P.A. membership. Contact the M.P.P.A. for more details.

$5,000 Benefit for Dependent Children*
(*The MPPA Board of Directors have recently voted to increase the death benefits to the members, spouses and dependant children. The old benefits were $15,000, $5,000 and $1,000 respectively. The changes took effect in February, 2006)
Scholarships
The M.P.P.A. Memorial
Scholarship Fund was created to assist children and family members of Montana
Police Officers who are members of the M.P.P.A. Children of active members,
medical disability retirees, and retired members shall be eligible to apply for
this scholarship. The scholarship shall be used at a school of higher education,
such as a junior college, college, university, or vocational technical school.
Required minimum grade point average is 2.5.
Applicant must apply in writing to the M.P.P.A. Scholarship Committee prior to
July 1st of the year he/she shall attend a school of higher
education. Proof of enrollment, or letter of acceptance, must be included with
the request. The applicant will also provide a copy of a transcript, or other
suitable proof of a 2.5 GPA with their application letter.
